Some guy named Stewart. Looks like a pretty good instructor. Maybe COM could offer him a discounted rate or something.

Seriously, it's way cool seeing Jackie Stewart in this role. (Executive summary: Jackie Stewart joins Top Gear presenter James May and tries to shave 20 seconds off his lap time.)

I started watching Top Gear recently and I quite like this show. It brings a nice angle to some weird things (typical British) but I am amazed at some of the things they do (crossing the Channel on a floating car, 1,000 miles in the Sine of Africa, very nice).
Oh, yes, isn't Sir Jackie Stewart (OBE = Order of the British Empire) a wonderful instructor and a gentleman... =D>
No bragging, but I know him too!
And yes, I once sought "instructions" from him. I asked why he drove with his knuckles on the steering ... he said "
to relax my hands ... but don't be deceived by this ... as the turn approached I had my hands on quite tight on the steering"

Which Queen? I happened to have Dutch background so Dutch Queen or British?
Anyway the response is NO ...
BUT my mother
Yes. Also when my Dad was alive he received a medal of sorts from
both Queens (Britain and Nehterlands).
What else you wanna know?

Queen? You mean Raj? I don't think India has saluted the crown since gaining independence in '47. Could be wrong.
Stephan - any pics of you and Ghandi? Most importantly, do you know Kevin Bacon? I think I'm currently 5 degrees away, you could make the link much shorter.

That Top Gear video is awesome. I've watched it several times. Sir Jackie is the man.

Syephan, How do I contact Sir Jackie about spending a day with me? I wont expect to find 20 seconds, but if I could find 4 or five I will be competitive with Will in SPC and ITA!

There is supposed to be a US version of Top Gear coming called "Gear". I think Adam Corolla will be one of the presenters. Not a great start, but you never know.
