Can a stock 1990 Miata with an OEM hardtop be run in SSC without a rollbar?

NO. If it is an open top car you need a roll bar even with the factory removable hardtop. They do nothing to protect the driver from anything other than weather.

Thanks, I wasn't really tempted anyway. The rollbar did not show up as promised so I'll find something else to drive.
